Grace Dawson

The interviewee lived without electricity until the late 1950s, and remembers the village doctor getting the first television but didn't go there to watch the Coronation. Remembers getting a signal from Ireland first.Disasters made the biggest impression over the years, Hillsborough and Aberfan especially. Remembers seeing images from Aberfan on television and feeling that the dangers had been ignored. Feels that there are too many repeats on S4C nowadays but remembers Gwynfor Evans' sacrifice. The interviewee was in Caernarfon on the day of the Investiture but remembers the discussions in the months leading up to it.
