The interviewee remembers watching the Coronation at someone's house, the signal was weak but it was a social event and they felt they were watching something historical. The interviewee followed all the broadcasting from Aberfan, feels that broadcasting was less sophisticated then and so more emotional and made more of an impression as it was simple. Remembers nothing of the 1979 Referendum, the discussions in 97 were interesting and she followed them on television. Realised the importance of S4C as a platform for Welsh culture but disappointed that there were also English programmes on the channel. Can follow programmes somewhat, enjoys Iolo Williams' nature programmes. Remembers the Miners' Strike and always thinks of the 'story' element behind every event in the media.
