The Orangery, Margam Castle (18th century)

Description

The orangery at Margam was built between 1786 and 1790 by Thomas Mansel Talbot to house a large collection of orange, lemon and citron trees. Today the orangery is the most outstanding example of eighteenth-century architecture in South Wales.
