Description

Ship-breaking was an important post-war business, supplying scrap iron for the local steel industry. Edgar Rees & Co. Ltd. of Llanelli provided a much-needed source of employment during the depression. Famous warships dismantled by the company included HMS SWIFT, BLAKE, LIZARD, and CHESTER.
