Commemorating the War at Sea: 1914-18

This collection brings together stories and photographs about Wales and the Sea during the First World War. It includes information about ships, and the men and women who served on them; the communities at home, the ports and industries, and the many forgotten and untold aspects of the war such as the women who served as nurses and stewardess, the Welsh captains and the crews from around the world and many more. Much of the information has been provided by individuals and groups for the HLF supported Project ‘U-Boat Project, 1914-18: Commemorating the War at Sea’. To learn more or to add your information, visit our website: http://uboatproject.wales/
