A farmhouse at Trefonen in Cefnllys parish near Llandrindod Wells catered for many Victorian visitors who came to the district to sample the mineral waters. This group was photographed in August 1869 at Trefonen, which was described as a 'well-known and revered Farm House where many country gentlemen, clergymen and laymen have found sweet repose to recreate their strength and spirits..'
