Description

Mrs Gwilym Jones, Trevelin's oldest resident, in 1972. Born in Puerto Madryn in 1878, she crossed the country by ox wagon with the earliest settlers 10 years later and well remembered John Evans whose mill gave Trevelin its name. She was still looking after herself and switched between fluent Welsh, Spanish and English without confusion. The other resident pictured is Mr Herbert Jones.
