Description
Scientific Name:Stropharia aeruginosa
This is one of the very few blue-green mushrooms we have in Britain. Fungi facts:It is predominantly a woodland species which is mainly associated with Beech. The cap is so slimy that mature specimens glisten markedly within the forest litter. It is not edible and some authorities in the USA claim that the mushroom contains hallucinogenic compounds.
