Dive Log - Stack Rocks, Little Haven 17th July 1999

Description

Kevin Hawke is a keen diver and Living Seas Wales volunteer. This image is taken from his dive log and records a dive near Stack Rocks, Little Haven 17th July 1999. During the dive he observed a variety of marine wildlife which he describes in the "Dive Details" section of the log book (transcribed below).
Dive Details: Descended the anchor line heading SE - opposite direction to last week Dredging the bottom along the margin of rocks and sand. Found a Spiny Starfish wrapped around a large Blue Sea Urchin, then a Spiny Squat Lobster, lots of Leopard-Spotted Gobies and a pair of Two-Spotted Gobies - I think. Turned after about 18 mins and came up over the rocks found a medium sized edible Crab and a Lobster right out in the open which I almost got a hand onto until he scurried backwards at tremendous speed into a hole, lots of fish life masses of small fry. Found the anchor line and ascended the line. A 1st.
