The 'Aberystwyth Official Guide and Souvenir' published by the Aberystwyth Corporation in 1924 contains an advert for a pharmaceutical chemist and qualified optician at this location. W M Jones was a fellow of the Institute of Ophthalmic Opticians and a fellow of the Spectacle Makers Company.
