The memorial to the men and boys who died at Morfa Colliery between 1849 and 1913. It was unveiled in 1990 at the instigation of the Port Talbot Historical Society. The memorial is on land owned by Tata Steel on the site of Grange Pit, the second pit to be sunk 1871/1872 after the original pit was flooded after an explosion in 1870.
