Description
Steve Hartley is the founder of Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre, New Quay. He now runs Dolphin Survey Boat Trips, however previously fished the waters of Cardigan Bay.
A member of our Living Seas Team sat down with Steve, to discuss his memories of life in the Bay. Here, he discusses the idea behind setting up Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre.
Recollection as follows:
"So, there we go. That was why I did it - that’s why I started the centre. I think people just really didn’t realise what was out there. You know, people used to say 'Oh, we always called them…bottlenose dolphins, we always used to call them porpoise!'."
