Mae Llyfrgell Genedlaethol Cymru yn un o 10 Canolfan rhwydweithio Cadwraeth Sain sydd wedi’u sefydlu ledled y DU i gyd-weithio gyda’r Llyfrgell Brydeinig ar y prosiect Datgloi Ein Treftadaeth Sain. Nod y prosiect, a ariennir gan Gronfa Treftadaeth y Loteri Genedlaethol, yw diogelu hanner miliwn o recordiadau sain prin ac sydd mewn perygl o gael eu colli, gwella mynediad at y synau, a darparu rhaglen o weithgareddau dysgu ac ymgysylltu.

Ben McManus performing ‘Give us our song, and give us this day (Why should we not sing)’, a piece commissioned by the National Library of Wales as part of the Unlocking Our Sound Heritage Project. The work was inspired by the David Lloyd George speech – Why should we not sing?
The National Library of Wales is one of 10 Network Audio Preservation Centres that have been established across the UK to work with the British Library on the Unlocking Our Sound Heritage project. The project funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, aims to preserve half a million rare and at risk sound recordings, improve access to the sounds, and deliver a programme of learning and outreach activities.
