'POLICEMAN'S PRESENTATION
There was a good attendance at the Globe Inn, the Graig, Pontypridd, on Friday on the occasion of a presentation to Police-constable King, who had been resident in the district for over eight years, and who has now been transferred to Beddau, Caerphilly. The proceedings were presided over by Mr. J. W. John, and the present took the form of a beautifully illuminated address, executed by the Western Mail Limited, subscribed for by the residents in recognition of the faithful services rendered to the district by Police-Constable King. Mrs. King was also presented with a valuable marble clock and a pair of bronzes. The presentation was made by the chairman, who remarked that but for certain reasons incident to Police-constable King's vocation a handsome sum of money could have been collected.'
