The Ridgeway (old red sandstone) viewed from the south across the golf course on the sand dunes built up at the mouth of the Ritec depression. The Ridgeway formed part of an ancient line of movement of metals from south Ireland through Milford Haven and Pembroke to the coast and thence to Cornwall and possibly even to Troy.
