When the Roath Local History Society started in the 1980s it focused on researching the history of the old Parish of Roath, Cardiff. The findings were published in 28 Project Newsletters. The old Parish of Roath included not just Roath itself but also Splott, Adamsdown, Tremorfa, Pen-y-lan and part of Cathays.
