Description

The oak chest built to the design of Mr J A Hallam in which the signature forms were conveyed to America. The Oak chest is now in the National Museum, Washington.

The 1923 Welsh Women’s Peace Petition, coordinated by the Welsh League of Nations Union, was signed by 390,296 women in a call for America to join and lead the League of Nations, to prevent the outbreak of another war in the aftermath of World War One.
