This document was assembled from deliberations of the UN 25th Anniversary Committee, who had resolved that the creation of a Welsh Centre for International Affairs would be a fitting long-term legacy of Wales' UN25 contribution. It woudl take until 1973 to formally launch WCIA; however, its envisioned aims and objectives remained consistent:
- National forum for organisations & communities Wales-wide
- Meeting place to formally welcome overseas visitors
- Clearing house for information on work of international organisations
- Promotion of global education
- Coordination and promotion of Humanitarian Appeals, as an agency for UNICEF, FFHC & other UN Agencies
- International Youth Service projects both overseas, and coming to Wales
- Institute of study and research into international issues, and public dissemination / debate
- Library and 'UN Information Centre' for Wales
