This is a copy of an original photograph of a group of Royal Navy Sailors from the ship HMS Ausonia, setting out on one of their regular bicycle trips to explore the island of Malta, in the early 1960's. The photograph was retained in the possession of one of the riders, Gwyn Davies for all his life and he treasured the memories of these rides. Gwyn can be seen at the front on the far left. Note the period clothing and back packs, which contained all the Sailors required for a days riding.
