This is a photograph of British Army soldier Dai Dudley from the Royal regiment of Wales, undertaking his part in a three man team of soldiers whom swam the English channel. The swim was part of a triathlon, from Cardiff to Lemgo in Germany, where the soldiers were based. The soldiers raised a significant sum on money to help a local German children's centre in September 1987.
