This is a copy of a photograph in the possession of British Army Veterans Leslie Frank Smart. Leslie served with the A company, 1st battalion, Gloucestershire regiment from 1953 to 1956. Leslie has circled his friend "Private Wood" on the photograph, which shows the soldier recruits now fully qualified in August 1954.
