This is a photograph of a newspaper cutting (Believed local district newspaper circulation) which reports on the United States of America General Van Fleet, inspecting soldiers from A company 1st Battalion Gloucestershire regiment, believed to be at the school of infantry Warminster. Gloucestershire regiment soldier Leslie Smart is in the photograph at the tip of the General's left shoulder. It is believed that the inspection occurred sometime in 1953/4.Leslie has this newspaper cutting photograph in his possession.
