Description
This is the third of three short films covering an interview with British Army Veteran Leslie Smart. In this final film, Leslie thinks back to his childhood years. He talks about growing up in Gloucestershire and time spent living in South Wales, where he witnessed the gathering of the invasion fleet in the Bristol channel in 1944. As the video ends he chares one last memory, explaining the circumstances behind a photograph of him and a Korean officer in Pusan, Korea. The first two films and material relating to Leslie's time serving in the Gloucestershire regiment can be viewed on line in the Leslie Smart collection at the West Wales Veterans archive on the peoples collection Wales website.
