This is a short audio clip of Gloucestershire regiment Veteran Mr Leslie Smart, chatting about the voyage to Kenya with his regiment in 1955. The regiment was posted to Kenya to join the efforts to suppress the Mau Mau insurgency in Kenya during 1955. In this audio, he talks about the the voyager and a humorous episode when he was performing Barbering duties on his fellow soldiers. A fellow Veteran can be heard chatting to him during the conversation.
