Description

This is the final part of three films covering an interview with British Army Veteran Derrick Clarke. Derrick was completed compulsory national service between 1958 to 1960 with the Royal Warwickshire regiment. The majority of his time in the military was served overseas in Aden (Yemen), during the time of the emergency. Derrick has written a book which offers a narrative account of his time with the Royal Warwickshire regiment, which was published by Amazon Fulfilment Poland in 2020 " Into the Eye of the Yemen - The Lost Soldier". In this interview, Derrick tells the viewer of the episode in his book, which led to the naming of the title of his book. Viewers can see the other films online covering the full interview by visiting the Derrick Clarke collection at the West Wales Veterans Archive on the Peoples Collection Wales website.
