Interview with Khatun Makani by Farah Allibhai on Loss, Resilience, and Faith in Wales

Description

Khatun Makani, who has lived in Wales since 2006, shares her personal story of loss and resilience. She was widowed in 2010 and later lived with her son Rahim, who tragically passed away from a heart attack in February 2021. Despite the grief of losing both Rahim and her other son, Ramzan, within 15 days of each other, Khatun remains strong, finding strength in her faith and independence. She expresses the pain of burying her children but emphasises her desire to stay alone, drawing strength from God to endure.
