Description

This is a copy of a photograph taken from the inside of another RAF Nimrod flying alongside the Nimrod in the image, which is from 42 squadron RAF and was taken in the late 1970's. The photograph shows an RAF Maritime patrol aircraft over the coast of south west England, captured by SAC Nigel Hopkins RAF Photographic branch RAF St Mawgan. Photographs of Nigel's career and related material can be viewed online at the West Wales Veterans Archive on the Peoples Collection Wales website.
