The final theme highlights resilience in the face of trauma and loss. Many Ugandan Asians carried painful memories of violence, disappearances, and fractured families, with some choosing never to speak of the expulsion. Women in particular showed resilience in overcoming cultural restrictions and asserting independence. The community rebuilt lives by creating homes, excelling in education, establishing places of worship, and building successful businesses. This journey from displacement to resilience is marked by determination, cultural preservation, and the forging of new identities in Wales.
