Description

Paul Robeson became famous for his beautiful deep singing voice. He sang in the church choir and later performed in musicals on stage. One of the songs he is probably best known for is the anthem Ol' Man River written for him by Oscar Hammerstein II for the hit musical Showboat. He performed the show both in New York and in London.
