Description

Made from silver, this was once the setting of a finger ring. The veiled, bearded, bust resembles named representations of Saturn; an ancient deity associated with agriculture. Saturn was particularly popular in North Africa. Perhaps this ring setting once belonged to a North African legionary soldier serving at Isca (Caerleon)?
