David Thomas Richards of Merthyr Tydfil was a soldier in the 3rd/4th Battalion, Queen's Own (Royal West Kent Regiment). Here are some pages from his diary of 1917. The final entry reads 'We went into the trenches in the evening on Mon June 18th'. David was killed on 20 June 1917, aged 29.
