The Welsh Voices of the Great War project has closed. We are sorry that not all of your contributions made it to the People's Collection. All content contributed to the project are now appearing on the People's Collection. If you wish to get in contact with the People's collection about your contributions to the Welsh Voices project please contact us via http://www.peoplescollectionwales.co.uk/Contact

I am profoundly disappointed that you've gathered such a lot of material and not used most of it, even after digitising it. It will now disappear back into attics and cupboards probably to be lost for ever. Compared to the volume of material that's being made available from other sources, Wales' contribution to the marking of the Great War's centenary is a disservice both to those who served and those who contributed their material to the People's Collection.

Dear Sidearm. Thank you for your message and I am sorry to hear how disappointed you are. The Voices of the Great War project was a done in 2010 and has since closed. Since then the People’s Collections Wales staff have conducted several digitisation events such as the WW1 roadshow in 2013 where fantastic materials were gathered. All the materials that were contributed by the public will be added to the site as the centenary of the First World War progresses. The process of uploading all these materials in bulk batches is being finalised following the technical re-fresh of the site. We appreciate that everyone is keen to see their items on the site and when the items are published we will make sure to let all the contributors know as well as bring attention to them on the front of the site. Many thanks, Berian (People's Collection Wales)
