Joseph Steele appeal to pensions tribunal
Description
Driver Joseph Steele of Merthyr Tydfil served for over four years with the Royal Army Service Corps in France and Salonika. After the war he claimed that the fibrosis of the lungs he suffered from was due to his service in the war, but in 1925 his appeal against the decision not to award him a pension was rejected.
