Albert Cyril Hinder, born Llanelli 18 February 1895, joined 1/4 Welsh Regiment, with whom he travelled to the Mediterranean for the Gallipoli campaign. He was wounded at Suvla Bay in August 1915, and was sent to a hospital in Malta to convalesce, where this photograph was taken - Albert is on the right. After the war he worked in a steelworks and then in the Labour Exchange.
