Then & Now: Hope Street, Wrexham

Description

Click on the image to enlarge and compare the two photographs.
Hope Street Wrexham. The first photograph was taken c.1900 and the second in 2011. Note the shop selling tea and another, shoes; and the motorbike and sidecar (without a licence plate) in the photograph - can you identify the make? The building with an unusual roof at the end of the street is the neo-Tudor Talbot hotel which still has shops on its ground floor. The whole street is now pedestrianised.
