Ty Newydd Standing Stone, Mathry, by J. C. Young, oil on board, 5" x 8". One of a collection of paintings recording the standing stones of Pembrokeshire which were created by artist J.C. Young over a three year period from 1981 to 1984.

A standing stone, 2.5m high by 1.0m by 0.8m, c.20m to the S of the site of a barrow, or cairn (Ty Newydd Grug), reported as having been robbed for building stone, c.1890, when "two pots" were found but destroyed.
