Description
This is a narrative account of the National Service experience of Mr Jim Jones of Aberystwyth. Jim grew up in Bala, North Wales and was conscripted into the British Army in the summer of 1960. Jim joined the Royal Army Pay Corps and undertook his training at the RAPC training centre in Devizes, Wiltshire. He suffered a serious injury to his knee during the training course and was medically discharged. The narrative accompanies an audio interview undertaken with Jim in April 2026.
