Description
This is a set of original photographs of the military camp on Christmas Island, which were taken between 1956 and 1958, when the British military were undertaking the test phases of the Atomic weapons programme. RAF National Serviceman Mervyn Rees was serving on Christmas Island at the time and retains these images for his personal collection.
