Description

Located on a spur of a hillside, some 2 miles from Bryncrug and cut off from the hillside by the excavation of a defensive ditch, the castleof the motte and bailey type was built by Cadwaladr ap Gruffudd in 1147, (brother of Owain Gwynnedd).
