Pembroke can still boast of rugby and Cricket Clubs and with the addition of a Leisure and Sports Centre is well provided with sporting facilities.
Entertainment has not fared so well and the demise of Haggar's Cinema is still a matter of regret for many. Sadly too, there is not the enthusiasm for amateur dramatics which, even comparatively recently, involved large numbers and was well supported in the community.
