This photograph shows the target area for the tank gunnery range with a firing point off photograph to the left. The main military features visible are two moving target trenches, built in 1941, at left hand side of picture and just right of centre top, a "pop up" target dugout (1941) near picture centre and an optical bombing target, c1953, just above this "pop-up" target bunker. There was another "pop-up" target dugout left and across the valley from the bombing target, but demolished after WWII.
