Type: Ophilcalcite - Llanfechell
Geological Age: Precambrian
Location: Anglesey
Historic Info: This was a major local building stone that can no longer be accessed, so no more specimens are available. It was popular early in the nineteenth century. Stone from the Llanfechell Quarry was used at Penrhyn Castle.
