Small army issue prayer book with red cross printed on cover. Handwritten on cover '38th (WELSH) DIVISION FRANCE'. Used by the Reverend Captain T. Bowen Williams throughout his time as an Army chaplain. He was the curate of St Michael's Church, Aberystwyth, before his appointment as a chaplain in November 1915. He donated his field communion set to the National Musuem of Wales in August 1919.
