Baby's frock
Description
Baby's white cambric frock with high waistline, full skirt and long sleeves. The bodice features blocks of vertical pin-tucks at the shoulders and a line of eight blocks of pin-tucks below. Above the waistline is a line of three horizontal pin-tucks, flanked by two rows French knots in white thread. The neckline and hemline are decorated with whitework floral motifs, with scalloped, button-hole stitched, edges. Made by Belgian refugee nuns in Newport, Gwent.
