This is a view of Newport High Street Station, not Dock Street, looking east. The main line from Cardiff comes in on the right hand side of the picture, continues through the station over the River Usk bridge, and on the far side of the bridge divides with the left hand line going north towards Pontypool and Hereford and the right hand line towards Bristol and London. The fan of lines in the lower right hand corner are stock storage sidings.
