It is hard to believe that this lovely building was demolished. It is clearly visible on Nathaniel and Samuel Bucks' South View of Wrexham, published in 1748. It originally served as the gatehouse to Brynyffynnon, a large house (also shown on the 1748 print). Brynyffynnon was demolished during the First World War after serving as the guildhall for the Borough of Wrexham.
