Description

Colour digital photographic survey of Pen-Ffordd-Goch Pond; Keeper's Pond; Forge Pond, Stephen Hughes, 24/02/2006, consisting of four images.

This is a feeder pond for Garndyrys forge. It was formed by the excavation of eastern and southern banks and is fed by a leat from the north-east. A culvert connects it to a lower pond.
The stone water-outlet is believed to survive in the western retaining wall.

This has the wrong title as it is a photo of Keepers Pond, as the description makes clear and not of the Upper Pond at Garn Ddyrys.
