Sir Alwyn Crowhead a teamundertaking guided missile trials at the Ynyslas and Aberporth ranges in his postion as Director and Controller of the Guided Projectile Project.His report, drafted in November 1945, laying outthe responsibilities of his new post and the military branches and private companies that were to participate in the new projectsurvives in the collections of The National Archives, Kew. Under the heading ofthe work being undertaken on guidance systems, the Superintendant of Experiments at Ynyslas is noted as being responsible for the general arrangement of trial observationsto includeradar trajectory tracking, photography and telemetry.
