Description

Llanelli church war memorial is situated in the churchyard of St Ellyw's Church facing south over Bridge Street. The memorial, dating to around 1920, is Grade II listed. It is in the form of a Celtic cross, constructed of granite, and made by "M L Edwards, Llanelly". The cross has interlace decoration and a battered base. The dates '1914' and '1919' are in raised letters either side of carved Prince of Wales' feathers, above an inscription to the men of the 4th Battalion, The Welsh Regiment. There are three granite steps below.
