Description

The War memorial at Pembroke Dock commemorating the fallen of the First World War, is situated at the north-east corner of a churchyard on the west corner of Bush and Church Streets. It is a 1921 memorial cross designed by J Coates Carter, architect of Penarth. Built of red sandstone on a stepped octagonal base of grey rock-faced limestone, the cross is on a red stone pedestal with rebated angles and finely lettered inscriptions each side. It has a square base broached to tapering octagonal shaft with finely carved Crucifixion under a stone gabled cap.
